How To Get Verified

At any point, registered TOOL users can sign up to be Verified by paying the TOOL fee. The tabs below contain details regarding the capstone submissions for each of the five areas in TOOL.

  • The Capstone portion of the Participate Skill serves as the final product, and the Capstone portion of the Skill focuses on topics, concepts, and material already mastered during the completion of each quest. The Capstone submissions will be reviewed and assessed by TOOL Verifiers, and Participants that demonstrate mastery will receive the Participate badge.

    Upon becoming a verified participant you will receive a link for submitting your work to a verifier. Using that link, please submit the following Participate activities in the Submission Form for verification:

    Links to your capstone portfolio work must be placed in the Capstone submission box rather than attaching files.

    All activities in the Effective Online Teaching course are evaluated according to the following level.

    Novice level
    Novice
    Mastery
    Mastery
    Exemplary
    Exemplary
    Participants have not demonstrated a general mastery of the concepts or skills in the module. Submissions are incomplete, incoherent, or off topic. Participants demonstrate a complete and coherent understanding of the concepts and the skills involved in each quest in Participate. Generally, this rating refers to specific artifacts. Exemplary submissions may be creative, transformative, reflective, or particularly informative. Verifiers may ask that these submissions are offered as exemplars to future participants in the TOOL.
